The geometric, circular plate that connects Seon-jeongleung and Yeongdongdaero serves as the set piece for the existence of an urban park in Jamsil Sports Complex. Nature, culture, and the axis that leads to the sky all add diversity to the original complex, and the ring road that surrounds the original complex plays a central role as an observatory, as well as that of a circulation line that encompasses the entire earth. The waves of the people who come from the north, south, east and west are able to funnel down into the ground, thus providing a three-dimensional area of rest and relaxation for the citizens. The swinging circular plate, the Han River, and the Tancheon theme park are all used as a composite cultural and resting space, and the ‘Seoul eye’ on the Han River is linked to the Han River Marina, positioning it as a new landmark of the Han River. Structural reinforcement of the stadium emphasizes the verticality that contrasts with the appearance of the horizontal city while also strengthening the main stadium’s history and symbolism. At the same time, maintaining the appearance of the stadium helps reveals anomalies and provokes fresh creativity, inspiring the decision to kick out the seats in the direction of the Han River.
