The common spaces of a 1970s home was updated with a fresh, contemporary look using textured glass, wood finishes, and metal trims. Notably, the original marble flooring throughout the project was kept for character and to minimize wastage. A sliding glass door was installed between the kitchen nook and formal dining for climate control while the former kitchen was divided into a show kitchen area and a general work kitchen area.
