YAMA Restaurant & Lounge overlooks the peaceful shores of Lake Ceresio, on the Italian-Swiss border.

The parametric design of the full light installation on the ceiling branches off in vertical lines along the glowing walls of the principal dining room. The notable contrast between the alternation of more organic forms and strictly geometric ones performs a fundamental role in the entrance hall and the cocktail bar, as well. The rather classic seatings and the retro-style flooring help to counteract the contemporary design, almost developing two different planes, which fit together in a dynamic and exciting aesthetic balance.

The scenario is properly completed with two intimate separate rooms; one rather informal, embellished with a lush green wall, the other with a more sophisticated atmosphere, softened by a diffused lighting and by the comfort of the velvet seats.

Outside, a large glazed outdoor area acts as an essentially decorated greenhouse in winter, to be open entirely along the sides during the pleasant summertime.

YAMA Restaurant & Lounge si affaccia sulle tranquille sponde del Lago di Ceresio, al confine italo svizzero.

Il design parametrico della voluminosa installazione luminosa al soffitto si dirama in linee verticali lungo le pareti della sala da pranzo principale. Il notevole contrasto tra l’alternanza di una composizione maggiormente organica ed una strettamente geometrica torna a giocare un ruolo fondamentale nella porzione dell’ingresso e del cocktail bar. L’impianto più classico delle sedute ed i pavimenti dal gusto retrò contribuiscono a bilanciare il segno contemporaneo, quasi a formare due piani diversi, che si incastrano in un dinamico ed emozionante equilibrio estetico.

Lo scenario si completa con due piccole sale separate, l’una maggiormente informale, impreziosita da una fitta parete verde, l’altra dall’atmosfera più sofisticata, ammorbidita da una luce diffusa e dal comfort delle sedute in velluto.

All’esterno un ampio dehor vetrato funge da serra riscaldata nei periodi invernali, per aprirsi interamente lungo i lati durante la bella stagione.
