The open-plan design of this ground floor has been developed as part of a full house remodelling and extension project, produced for a young family that purchased an unmodernised Victorian mid-terrace house and wanted to make it cosier and more in line with the standards of a contemporary living.

The layout is simple and based on a rectangular opened plan, which appears subdivided into two halves: one at the front with the main Living area and one at the rear, in the extension, with the Kitchen&Dining areas.

Of essential importance for this however simple design has been the bespoke see-through full height furniture that visually screens the front from the rear spaces, with a transparency that vary according to the angle of the observer, and thanks to its ‘3-dimensional design’, that combined the back-to-back application of a shelving pattern, also replicated on the wall of the living area.
