Two-bedroom apartment, about 90 sqm + 10 sqm of balcony overlooking the Old City walls. The apartment is in a Mamilla neighborhood characterized by low Jerusalem construction with picturesque inner streets, filled with local vegetation overlooking the Old City walls.
The design of the apartment for us was a kind of contemporary interpretation of the Jerusalem style, which is full of restraint and modesty.
And so when we went to design it was clear to us that the toolbox would contain materials that fit the Jerusalem atmosphere. A notable example is the use of a warm sandstone/ limestone —stone that climbs the entrance and living room wall as well as the niche interiors, highlighted with a warm lighting strip, in order to create intimate warmth in the apartment.

The main motif in the design of the apartment was to create a reciprocal relationship between the appearance of the project on its Jerusalem characteristics and contemporary design, which will respect the natural properties of the apartment, with a breathtaking view of David tower and the Old City. And so we sprinkled the contemporary with the existing Jerusalem motifs, such as a dark-colored arch pattern that follows the arch of the building's doorway, used to conceal a curtain, and shutter compartment that usually looks bad.

The apartment has two wings. The front wing of the apartment has an open and flowing space where the living room, kitchen and dining room are combined. The second wing features a master suite with a bedroom and a bathroom, a guest room and a guest bathroom.
Apart from the minimalist, smoky colored furniture, we combined clean and simple works of art that emphasize the natural qualities of space.

We made an effort to place the various systems in secondary space ceilings and used minimal recessed lighting fixtures so as not to lose height in the central hospitality space. And for that reason, all systems were moved to a side cabinet. It was important for us to keep the living room clear of system cabinets and equipment and especially that the view of the old city would not be disturbed.
A planning effort was invested in preserving the Jerusalem structural arch by hiding technical elements such as concealment of the curtain with the help of a parallel arch highlighted in dark shade.
