Wood, iron and travertine have been the materials chosen by Obicua Architecture to compose the scenography of Renaissance Rome. The challenge in this project “Una Terrazza romana” was the one of enlarging the interior space of this attic in the heart of Rome until the contemporary terrace. Obicua wanted to create a modern terrace which was able to converse with the ancientest part of Rome. For this reason, our architects decided to use wooden and iron structure and travertine on the floor.
The central block, made of teak and iron, has in the center a grate which can be used also a table. The chairs and armchairs of UNOPIU’ create a convivial atmosphere.
The vegetation on the sides rises a country atmosphere that is witty calibrated.
Two different areas complete the terrace: the iron sunbathing area which allows to modular the amount of sun and a covered lounge.
The forniture and the lamps are realized by UNOPIU’ while the rest of the structures are made by craft firms.
