Five years after opening their first museum MAC 1, the entrepreneurs Gabriele Unbehaun-Maier and Hermann Maier have built a second museum in their hometown of Singen. In the Museum Art and Cars 2 classic cars should be brought into dialogue with modern art. The architecture of the building at the foot of the Hohentwiel is spectacular.

Architect Daniel Binder has created two broken boulders from the mountain. This is the metaphor that stands behind the new building. Two angular, almost 30-meter high towers protruding into the landscape, referring to the volcanic mountain Hohentwiel directly above them. The museum nestles in the landscape and yet is idiosyncratic. The building has no right angles, but only sloping and curved walls.

The new MAC 2 will expand the exhibition space of the existing museum to more than 3.000 square meters. On four levels and in the 18 meter high light dome, milestones from the world of the automobile and design history are shown. In addition to contemporary art, this also includes light art, photography and video mapping - in absolute darkness. So now is more space for noble Silver Arrows, Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Bizzarrinis, Rolls Royce, Aston Martins and their stories.

The attic is designed as an event and event space. The Skylounge is a unique event location offering reathtaking views of the city of Singen and the volcanic mountain Hohentwiel.
