Lovanio | Gori&Yoon architecture

The project concerns a historic house of 182 mq in the center of Milan, in Via Lovanio, near the Garibaldi Station.

The main idea of the project is to create a perfect harmony of space in an existing classic context, through the use of modern furnishings with a revisited classic design and some vintage touches.

The result is an elegant and sophisticated environment, where through the use of neutral colors and natural materials in warm tones, a welcoming and relaxing space is created, ideal to escape from the frenzy of a big city like Milan. This also happens through the simplicity of the shapes of the chosen furnishings. Another key point of the project concept is the use of some touch of vibrant but desaturated color, which gives personality to the space.

LIVING / DINING

The living room is a large open space that also includes the dining area near the kitchen. The walls are painted dove - gray, a light color, chosen to give at the same time calm and elegance to the room. In front of the marble fireplace, the circular arrangement of the furnishings, with armchairs, sofa and central table creates a cozy setting that highlights the important chandelier. The shapes of the furnishings are simple and sensual and are sculpted by natural light, entering through the windows, creating an interesting play of light and shadow. The use of colors, the touch of green of the sofa and the dark red of the marble grain of the coffee table between the two armchairs near the living room entrance, give elegance to the composition. The modern dining table, in marble, with a circular shape, perfectly communicates with the leather chairs and the vintage wall lamp.

KITCHEN

The layout of the kitchen is modern and functional. The choice of neutral colors and the use of wood in natural oak finish, creates a warm and relaxing environment, made elegant by the use of Calacatta gold marble with visible grain and in contrast with the surrounding light tones. This composition fits perfectly into the existing context, the floor and the ceiling coffers.

BEDROOM

The bedroom is simple and clean, with a palette of light colors and presents the headboard with a particular revisited classic style, which recalls the armchairs in the living room and gives elegance to the room. The vintage and particular touch is given by the unusual use of Louis Vuitton trunks used as a bedside table.

Il progetto riguarda una casa storica di 182 mq nel centro di Milano, in Via Lovanio, vicino alla Stazione Garibaldi.

L’idea portante del progetto è stata quella di creare un’armonia perfetta dello spazio in un contesto classico esistente, attraverso l’utilizzo di arredi moderni dal design classico rivisitato e qualche tocco vintage.

Il risultato è un ambiente elegante e sofisticato, dove attraverso l’utilizzo di colori neutri e di materiali naturali dai toni caldi, viene creato uno spazio accogliente e rilassante, ideale per sfuggire dalla frenesia di una grande città come Milano. Questo avviene anche attraverso la semplicità delle forme degli arredi scelti. Altro punto chiave del concept di progetto è l’utilizzo di qualche tocco di colore, vibrante ma desaturato, che dona personalità allo spazio.

SOGGIORNO/PRANZO

Il soggiorno è un grande open space che comprende anche la zona per il pranzo vicino alla cucina. Le pareti sono tinteggiate grigio tortora, un colore chiaro, scelto per conferire allo stesso tempo calma ed eleganza all’ambiente. Di fronte al camino in marmo, la disposizione circolare degli arredi, con poltrone, divano e tavolino centrale crea un ambiente raccolto che mette in risalto il lampadario importante. Le forme degli arredi sono semplici e sensuali e vengono scolpite dalla luce naturale che entra dalle finestre creando un interessante gioco di luce e ombra. L’utilizzo dei colori, il tocco di verde del divano e il rosso scuro delle venature del marmo del tavolino tra le due poltrone vicino all’ingresso del soggiorno, conferiscono eleganza alla composizione. Il tavolo da pranzo, in marmo, moderno, dalla forma circolare dialoga perfettamente con le sedie in pelle e la lampada da parete vintage.

CUCINA

La cucina, è moderna e dal layout funzionale. La scelta dei colori neutri e l’utilizzo del legno in finitura rovere naturale, crea un ambiente caldo e rilassante, reso elegante dall’uso del marmo Calacatta oro con la venatura visibile e a contrasto con i toni chiari circostanti. Questa composizione si inserisce perfettamente nel contesto esistente, il pavimento e il soffitto a cassettoni.

CAMERA DA LETTO

La camera da letto è semplice e pulita, con una palette dai colori chiari e presenta la testata letto dallo stile particolare classico rivisitato, che richiama quello delle poltrone del soggiorno e conferisce eleganza alla stanza. Il tocco vintage e particolare viene dato dall’uso insolito dei bauli di Louis Vuitton utilizzati come comodino.
