HARTVIK F Bistro's new concept

The Hartvik founded their business in 1862.
Over time, a small shop that did not stand out from other started turning into the best butcher shop in Riga.

Augustus Hartvik was the eldest of the Little Guild and took over his father's shop in 1897 and expanded the business,by setting up a small meat factory.He always tried to keep up with the times, and that's why his meat factory on present-day Miera Street was considered one of the best in the city. In 1900, Hartvig and his brother renovate up a shop.

In the sales room, one wall is completely finished in marble and has a shiny aluminum construction attached to it,on which, without touching the wall, meat products hang on special hooks.

The front of the counter, which stretches across the shop, is decorated with colorful tiles with ornate ornaments,

and the counter is made of a solid piece of marble.
In the evening, the entire shop is illuminated by electric lamps,
hidden in bud-like glass plafonds.

the author, discussing the topic,

So Hartvik's products were not only the most expensive,
but also the most prestigious in the city.
