STAR HUB | VISUAL DISPLAY - Interior Architecture and Design

“PASSION WILL MOVE MEN BEYOND THEMSELVES” is the claim of STAR HUB , the innovative co-working and research space designed by VISUAL DISPLAY for Autostar

STAR HUB is a futuristic and borderless place, a spot for ideas to flourish, a co-working place that leaves space to imagination, which aims to be a place of experimentation, where create synergies and breathe innovation at 360° (a value strongly rooted in the Autostar). 

Visual Display has designed and devised the entire interior and branding project, creating a work and research habitat - open to the evolutions in the world of work and modern
lifestyles - that expresses innovation and sustainability at the same time:
an open space of 400 sqm that is untied from the canons of the physical place, fixed workstations, and standard timetables, to accommodate up to 50 people/operators, organized in different clusters to meet different needs and functionality of the workstations - single or shared, portable or desktop computer - and more generally to become a venue for events, meetings, workshops and even a photographic set.

The large central volume, entirely encased in a three-dimensional and sound-absorbent felt cover, conceals the technical compartments, the wardrobe and the printer area. It also accommodates the meeting room and the studio dedicated to the shooting of the accessories sold online.
This central and functional element divides the space and interrupts the propagation of sound, whereas the clear and reflective materials of the architectural box enhance the natural light entering from the large windows.

Padded and colorful relax areas visually and acoustically interrupt the more traditional work areas by creating islands that may turn into alternative work stations.

The kitchen, dark and enveloping, is the place where to break for excellence.

A long communal table in ash wood runs through the whole space, while the coffered ceiling lets in natural light from above.

A place of technological innovation, where the "wiring" parts are entirely hidden underneath the floor or based on wireless technology and allow access to audio and video data from any workstation.
A sound masking system integrated into the ceiling drastically reduces the perception of disturbing sounds, increasing the degree of privacy of the employees.
The technical lighting, custom made specifically for this project, has been designed to provide a constant degree of light to the work area, varying during the day according to the amount of natural daylight.
A project where space, light, sound, and technology become pure visual, acoustic and emotional comfort.

Star Hub è uno spazio futuristico e senza confini, un vero e proprio luogo delle idee, uno spazio di co-working che lascia spazio all’immaginazione, che si prefigge di essere luogo di sperimentazione, dove far nascere sinergie e respirare a 360° l’innovazione.

Visual Display ha studiato e ideato il progetto di interior e di branding creando un habitat di lavoro e ricerca – aperto alle evoluzioni del mondo del lavoro e degli stili di vita contemporanei – che esprime innovazione e sostenibilità allo stesso tempo: uno spazio openspace di 400 mq che si slega dai canoni del luogo fisico, delle postazioni fisse e degli orari standard, per ospitare al suo interno fino a 50 persone/operatori, organizzate in diversi cluster e con diverse tipologie di esigenze e funzionalità delle postazioni lavoro – singola, condivisa, computer portatile, computer fisso – e più in generale per diventare luogo di eventi, meeting, workshop fino a trasformarsi in set fotografico.

Il grande volume centrale interamente rivestito con una speciale pelle tridimensionale e fonoassorbente in feltro grigio, oltre a nascondere i vani tecnici, il guardaroba e l’area stampanti, accoglie al suo interno la sala riunioni e il teatro di posa dedicato agli shootings fotografici.

Se questo elemento centrale e funzionalizzato suddivide lo spazio e infrange la propagazione del suono, i materiali chiari e riflettenti della scatola architettonica, contribuiscono a diffondere la luce naturale che entra dalle vetrate su strada.

Aree relax imbottite e colorate servono a interrompere visivamente e acusticamente gli spazi di lavoro più tradizionali creando delle isole che all’occorrenza diventano a loro volta postazioni di lavoro alternative.

La cucina, scura e avvolgente, è il luogo di pausa per eccellenza.
Un lungo tavolo comune in legno di frassino attraversa tutto lo spazio, mentre il soffitto a cassettoni lascia entrare la luce naturale dall’alto.

Un luogo di innovazione tecnologica, in cui la parte “cablata” interamente nascosta a pavimento o basata su tecnologia wireless consente di accedere a dati audio e video da qualunque postazione.

Un sistema di sound masking a controllo attivo, integrato al soffitto, riduce drasticamente la percezione dei suoni disturbanti aumentando il grado di privacy dei dipendenti.

L’illuminazione tecnica, realizzata appositamente per questo progetto, è stata studiata in modo da garantire un grado di illuminazione costante su tutta l’area di lavoro variando durante le ore del giorno in base alla luce naturale.

Un progetto dove lo spazio, la luce, il suono e la tecnologia, diventano puro comfort visivo, acustico ed emozionale.
