This cliff-top residence is north east facing with unprecedented ocean views. The edge of the morning sun and the harshness of the midday sun have been skillfully dimmed by the dark moody interiors of the living rooms which combine large format concrete tiles with soaring chocolate timber veneer panels. The house has been designed as a sophisticated playground for design where anything is possible. The skill was creating elegance from a multitude of materials in a refined, modern language without being kitsch.

The building incorporates principles of sustainability. Large sliding doors and windows have been strategically located to promote cross ventilation. Additionally, for climate control, sheer curtains have been used internally to prevent heat loss at night time, whilst low E-glazing has been used externally, combined with adjustable louvres as a fenestration device.
