The new tavern is located in the old town of Brixen near the main cathedral. The building dates back to the 13th century. Among other uses over the centuries, it had been the official residence of the cathedral’s dean. Several historical rooms now offer contiguous spaces for up to a hundred guests. An inner courtyard and a sunny garden complete the restaurant.

Structured tinted glass for the windows and the use of brass for doors and lights refer to the property’s historic roots in the cathedral quarter.

Dark plaster surfaces and local larch wood create a familiar and convivial tavern atmosphere. The surrounding wall panelling summarises the different layers of time. The perfect geometric element of the circle is a recurring theme throughout the building.

Das neue Wirtshaus befindet sich in der Brixner Altstadt in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Dom. Die baulichen Anfänge des Gebäudes reichen zurück bis ins 13. Jahrhundert. Es war unter anderem Amtssitz des Domdekans.

Mehrere aufeinanderfolgende historische Innenräume bieten Platz für bis zu hundert Personen, ein Innenhof und sonniger Garten ergänzen den Gastbetrieb.

Strukturiertes eingefärbtes Glas für die Fenster und der Einsatz von Messing für Türen und Leuchten weisen auf die historische Verankerung im Domviertel hin. Dunkle Putzoberflächen und heimisches Lärchenholz schaffen eine vertraute und gesellige Wirtshausatmosphäre. Die umlaufende Wandtäfelung fasst die unterschiedlichen Zeitschichten zusammen. Der Kreis als vollkommenes geometrisches Element taucht immer wieder ordnend auf.

La nuova taverna si trova nel centro storico di Bressanone, nelle immediate vicinanze della cattedrale. L'edificio risale al XIII secolo. Nel corso dei secoli è stata, tra le diverse funzioni, la residenza ufficiale del decano della cattedrale. Le contigue sale storiche offrono ora spazio per un massimo di cento ospiti. Un cortile interno e un giardino soleggiato completano il ristorante.

I vetri lavorati e colorati per le finestre e l'uso dell'ottone per porte e i lampadari fanno riferimento alla connessione storica della proprietà al quartiere della cattedrale.

Le superfici in intonaco scuro e il legno di larice locale creano un'atmosfera familiare e conviviale da osteria. La pannellatura in legno dei muri unifica i diversi strati del tempo. L’elemento geometrico perfetto del cerchio è ricorrente in tutto l'edificio.
