On street, in correspondence with the building crossing the San Canziano ditch, the sidewalk was interrupted on both sides, having built the crossing bridge exclusively for cars.

The work aims to give continuity, on at least one side, to the pedestrian path with the creation of a new crossing deck. An independent element has been designed exclusively for pedestrians. With regard to the architectural features of the bridge it was decided to use elements that are as compatible as possible with the territory and its high landscape value; for this reason the choice of materials has been oriented towards a balanced combination of corten steel and ecological wood: corten steel has been used for structural elements; the ecological wood for the flooring of the deck ensuring, in any case, comfort, safety and durability.

The parapet towards the street is provided with a full corten wall which, thanks to its ability to protect itself against atmospheric agents, reduces the need for maintenance.

The parapet towards the canal is instead in stainless steel, completely transparent with uprights made up of a single corten sheet. This solution allows a complete view of the resurgence ditch and allows a harmonious insertion into the surrounding environment, always creating an impression of lightness and modern aesthetics.

The design maximizes the usability of the pedestrian path by the inhabitants of the area trying to develop the conditions for the improvement of living conditions; for this reason it has been used a style of its own and compatible with the landscape context in which the work is inserted, giving the pedestrian the opportunity, at times, to be able to also take a short break enjoying the landscapes through a particular and suggestive observation point.
