[ENG] - Redeveloping an existing building means giving it new life and, rather than just aesthetic interventions, it can also be a way of totally changing its function.

This is the case with an old building in the historic centre of Cagliari, originally used for commercial purposes, before being completely restructured by the Gatti Piu studio and transformed into a luxury private apartment, great attention paid to its every detail and finish. With this interior project, Gatti Piu has once again expressed its particular attention to detail with effective technological solutions that interpret the sophisticated tastes of those who live in its spaces. 

The apartment extends over three levels, connected by an internal staircase more than 10 metres high, the walls of which are entirely clad with Laminam ceramic slabs with the I Naturali, Calacatta Oro Venato finish.

The same finish is used for the cladding of other areas of the apartment, to create material and aesthetic continuity between the living and sleeping areas, the white marble effect enhancing and illuminating the spaces. Extremely hygienic, Laminam ceramic slabs are perfect for interior design, not only for their sophisticated aesthetics but also for their high level of resistance to stains, impacts and scratches and the fact they are easy to clean.   

[ITA] - Riqualificare un immobile esistente significa dargli una nuova vita: non è solo un intervento estetico, ma può essere anche un totale cambiamento di funzione.

È il caso di un antico locale nel centro storico di Cagliari, originariamente adibito ad uso commerciale; completamente ristrutturato dallo studio Gatti Piu è oggi trasformato in un appartamento privato di lusso in cui ogni minimo dettaglio e finitura è curata con la massima attenzione. Gatti Piu ha espresso anche con questo progetto d’interni la propria distintiva capacità di ricerca del dettaglio con soluzioni tecnologiche efficienti, interpretando i gusti raffinati di chi vive gli ambienti. 

L’appartamento si sviluppa su tre livelli collegati tra loro da una scala interna che si apre per oltre 10 metri d’altezza, in cui le pareti sono interamente rivestite con lastre ceramiche Laminam della finitura I Naturali, Calacatta Oro Venato.

La stessa finitura è stata impiegata a rivestimento anche in altri locali dell’appartamento, per creare l’effetto di continuità materiale ed estetica dalla zona giorno alla zona notte: un effetto marmo bianco che impreziosisce e illumina gli spazi. Le lastre ceramiche Laminam, per loro natura igieniche sono perfette per il design d’interni non solo per l’estetica raffinata, ma anche per le elevate resistenze alle macchie, agli urti e ai graffi e sono facilmente igienizzabili.
