Villa GEEF was born in a compromised context in the first outskirts of Sondrio (SO, Italy) within a lot that was used as a relax time place by employees of an electric company. The large lot was in fact occupied by a building and playgrounds all around.

Despite the existing fabric, the area was presented with great potential due to his size and the surrounding mountain landscape characterized by typical vineyards of Valtellina. If in the first intention of the client there was a desire to build a multi-storey villa, the project developed by Damilanostudio Architects focused on a villa on a single ground floor for both the comfort and the relationship with the landscape, I tie that the choice of building a home on one floor opens its eyes to the vineyards and the private park.

The villa develops in to two different areas joined by the covered porch in line with access to the lot. On the one hand, the garage and the depandance for the guests. On the other hand, the owners' residence.

Villa GEEF nasce in un contesto compromesso nella prima periferia di Sondrio (SO, Italia) all'interno di un lotto che era utilizzato come dopolavoro dai dipendenti di una società elettrica. L'ampio lotto era infatti occupato da un corpo di fabbrica adibito al dopolavoro e da campi da gioco tutto intorno.

Nonostante il tessuto esistente l'area si presentava con ampie potenzialità data la dimensione ed il paesaggio montano circostante caratterizzato dalle vigne tipiche della Valtellina. Se nella prima intenzione del cliente c'era la volontà di realizzare una villa su più livelli, il progetto sviluppato da Damilanostudio Architects si è incentrato su una villa su un solo piano fuori terra sia per il maggior confort che per il rapporto con il paesaggio, legame che la scelta di costruire un'abitazione su un piano fortifica aprendo lo sguardo sui vigneti e sul parco privato.

La villa si sviluppa secondo due aree unite dal portico coperto in linea con l'accesso al lotto. Da una parte, la meno soleggiata, l'autorimessa e più verso sud la depandance per gli ospiti. Dall'altra la residenza dei proprietari.
