Black and White Box | Ebisike Tochukwu Architects

Its a pretty slim site with dimensions of 15ms by 38ms. While observing all necessary approval regulations, the brief was a #contemporary type design that would host a living, dining, kitchen and guest room with a driver and maid room incorporated at the rear on the ground floor. While intimating us with his wants and donts in our office, we were already sketching its form, bearing in mind its orientation, solar movement and wind directions.

This was solved by having a recessesd terrace on the top floor which in turn would shade the bottom living room openings and serve as shade at the entrance porch amongst afew.
