YuQiang and Partners, a team of more than 150 architects, create a stark contrast between traditional and contemporary by revamping HappyLand’s sales office in downtown chang'an. The structure uses perforated silver aluminum panels that adhere to the façade covering the square-like site, and also work as an effective medium to keep the air circulating while decreasing noise pollution. The concise origami-shaped vertical skin increases air circulation all while creating a dynamic aesthetic.

The plaza placed facing the building strengthens the sophisticated appearance of YuQiang and Partners sales office. The three-quarter height of the structure’s wall was replaced by the ultraviolet-proof glass to introduce the live street scene into the whole space without visual obstructions. In order to create a profound expression of quality, the spectacular collision between shadow, glass, wood, window gauze and the void space generates an airy and contemporary aesthetic.

The extreme tranquility found in the space and the detailed concision of the architecture perfectly blends with the configuration and structure of the building. The single volume was divided into various functional sections through an orderly arrangement: the barrier-free sight experience in all directions brings a balanced transition between the inside and outside, appearing to be natural and harmonious. The architect created several small-scale oak installations parallel to the pavilion and managed to utilize them in the planned layout. Circular artistic lighting is set at the bottom of each pavilion, illuminating the interior space.
