Acollection Milano | Buzzi & Buzzi

Via Adige 11, at this point one of the most iconic locations of FuoriSalone, is where we find the showroom of Andrea Castrignano, the most famous interior designer of Italian television. This year, design week sees the showroom transformed to host the ACollection, an installation with a high emotional impact. Buzzi & Buzzi, with a history of several joint projects with the designer, is directing the showroom’s lighting. With design and impressive solutions, Buzzi & Buzzi has provided lighting for the spaces, creating unique sets that enhance the displays in which care for detail and the attention to aesthetics reign supreme.

The display area, located in the newborn Romana Design District®, presents itself as a six-display isle complexe that contains new creations and some re-editions of home decor objects by the designer, with some Made in Italy brands as protagonists. The multifunctional area of ACollection, made of different settings of the trendiest fabrics, finishes and textures of the moment, is enhanced through Buzzi & Buzzi’s light: full and enveloping, it creates luminous itineraries and suggestive atmospheres signed by the brand.

Various iconic products by Buzzi & Buzzi have been chosen for the occasion. The variety of the proposals of the brand expresses itself through luminaires of different lines: Recessed, Surface and Iron, thanks to which it was possible to create special lighting effects.

To emphasize the details of the display isles from above, the surface projectors with aluminium body were chosen, Q1 and Q2 from the Iron Line, adjustable iron luminaires on rail, with a minimal visual impact and very high efficiency. DOT 1 and DOT 3, characterized respectively by one or three luminous parabolas that guarantee an anti-dazzling effect and a high light intensity, enhance details by merging luminosity and interiors. X1, another adjustable iron projector, creates a discreet and performing light.

The volumes, surfaces and textures have been enhanced by recessed luminaires from the Recessed collection: including those belonging to the special Genius line in its basic, Genius Twin, Genius Brass e Genius Brass Square in AirCoral® and Genius Naked with its steel body options. Characterized by an emission hole measuring only 20 mm, the options offer different finishes, ideal to satisfy the various design needs. On the other hand, the recessed luminaires, Buzzz and Eggy in AirCoral® and Rhino and Taurus 1 and 3 in Coral®, with their unique geometries, become part of the showroom design, in addition to generating a homogeneous and performing light that pervades the spaces creating different sets.

Other recessed luminaires embellish the showroom interiors, in which design and lighting become one: Phantom, a completely disappearing wall luminaire in Coral®, a “phantom” that cuts light glimmers in the interiors and envelopes furnishings and surfaces. Leaf and Unleaf, semi-recessed AirCoral® luminaires, evoke elegance and purity, cutting wall volumes and attracting attention. Nastro as well, a completely disappearing semi-recessed luminaire characterized by a sinuous shape, works as a decorative element, transforming light into a design detail.

Finally, Valo and Mond, the floor luminaires in DurCoral®, give suggestive effects contributing to the dynamic and welcoming mood of the showroom. Valo, a frosted glass cube, becomes a real design object, while Mond is a little protagonist for the outdoors with a 180° diffused lighting beam.

The consolidated partnership between Buzzi & Buzzi and the designer Andrea Castrignano, is the basis of extraordinary art projects, in which light is an indispensable ally. With the ACollection installation project, Buzzi & Buzzi once again confirms itself as the protagonist of the FuoriSalone and as one of the lighting brands that stands out during the design week.
