Inside the garden of a historic villa in Portici, near Naples, the refurbishment project converts an environment originally used as a stable into an apartment.
The pitched roof, the different heights and the natural light inspired the logic of the interior design project, with its light colours and essential materials and lines.
The main room is located in the southern part of the house, the brightest. At the double height entrance, a white wooden cabinet distributes the space, delimiting the living area. The kitchen and the living room thus become a single environment where the white of the walls and furnishings enhances the natural oak floor and the Cervaiole marble cladding of the kitchen top.
A white resin staircase leads to the mezzanine where there is a relax area. The two windows between the pitches allow light to enter, creating an unexpectedly bright atmosphere, expanding the volume of the interior space. Below, the sleeping area with services and the master bedroom.
The latter, with private bathroom and a small patio, is furnished with white walls, resin flooring and a wooden ceiling that make the room warm and hospitable. The room is completed by wardrobes and a bed designed by local artisans.
A built-in concrete bathtub and a monolithic washbasin in Roman travertine characterize the master bathroom.
White and wood are the protagonists of the interior design project: the result is an apartment with a minimalist but cozy, properly organized and cared for in every detail.

All’interno di un giardino di una villa storica a Portici, in provincia di Napoli, il progetto di ristrutturazione converte un ambiente originariamente utilizzato come stalla in un appartamento.
Il tetto a falde, le differenti altezze e la luce naturale hanno guidato la logica del progetto di interior, dai colori chiari e dai materiali e linee essenziali.
Lo spazio a doppia altezza accoglie chi entra ed un mobile in pannelli di legno bianchi delimita la zona giorno e la zona notte, fungendo anche da guardaroba e da contenitore per alcuni elettrodomestici della cucina.
L’ambiente principale è situato nella parte sud della casa, la più luminosa. All’ingresso, a doppia altezza, un mobile in legno bianco distribuisce lo spazio delimitando la zona giorno. La cucina e il living diventano così un unico ambiente dove il bianco delle pareti e degli arredi esalta il pavimento in legno di rovere naturale ed i rivestimenti in marmo di cervaiole del piano della cucina.
Una scala bianca in resina conduce al mezzanino dove trova posto una zona relax. Le due finestre tra le falde lasciano entrare la luce creando un'atmosfera inaspettatamente luminosa, ampliando il volume dello spazio interno. Al di sotto, la zona notte con i servizi e la camera padronale.
Quest’ultima, con bagno privato ed un piccolo patio, è arredata da pareti bianche, dal pavimento in resina e da un soffitto in legno di abete che rendono l’ambiente caldo ed ospitale. Completano la stanza gli armadi ed il letto realizzati su misura da artigiani locali.
Una vasca incassata in cemento ed un lavabo monolitico in travertino romano caratterizzano invece il bagno padronale.
Il bianco ed il legno sono i protagonisti del progetto di interior design: il risultato finale è un appartamento dal carattere minimalista ma accogliente, coerentemente organizzato e curato nei minimi dettagli.
