If to characterize a sports hall is usually a volume wrapped in a closed casing which conceals the contents, this project betrays, at least in part, this assumption. The entire building is based, in fact, not so much on the plant sports that houses inside it, but, more specifically, on the concept of movement. This is materialized externally for the presence of metal grids which, while simulating the effect of the masonry walls, make visible the ramps connecting the various floors of the complex. The latter, more distinguishable at street level because they have no shields, besides confirming the logic of movement and permeability that dominates the program, also help to thin the boundary between inside and outside. The result is a body that is not isolated, but open to dialogue with the surrounding urban landscape. This is confirmed by the transformation of the coverage plan of the building with space available and practicable. Configure as a kind of agora, it is in addition to those places of interaction already exist in the city.
