"dwp were appointed as interior designer for the project including public areas, guestrooms, suites and the adjacent Alef Residences, to take over from United Design Partnership whose initial involvement in the project was terminated by the owner at Concept stage. Most areas, including rooms, dining, spa, lobbies, entrances and porte cochere were then designed or re-designed by dwp in close consultation with the owner, operator and architect. The specialty F&B outlets, including 'gold' bar in lobby, were all designed by others. While the guest rooms do have some connection to a prior concept, dwp were required to undertake significant redesign, including a new visual narrative, layouts, materials, finishes, FF&E and artwork. The interior design of porte-cochere, entrances, lobby, atrium, public areas and spa is entirely designed by dwp. dwp managed and delivered the interior design of the project fully from an early design phase which, in many areas, included providing a new visual narrative and concept design." - Robert Troup, dwp, Regional Managing Director
