BEST WESTERN PLUS BOLOGNA HOTEL
HOSPITALITY Venice / Italy / 2018
The refurbishment of this establishment sees the incorporation of the most exclusive products from five companies that belong to the Group.
The marble, wood and slate that have been used in the rooms highlight the Renaissance spirit of the city.
Thinking of Venice is to think of St. Mark’s Square, the Rialto Bridge or the gondolieri paddling through the Grand Canal between serenades and selfies. In this setting, there is the Best Western Hotel Plus Bologna, an emblematic 4-star hotel located just a stone’s throw away from the Venezia-Mestre train station. In its refurbishment, the most exclusive collections from five PORCELANOSA Grupo companies have been used. The architect, Ghezzo Maurizio, has banked on products by: Venis, L’Antic Colonial, Noken, Urbatek and Krion™; for the rooms and the bathrooms.
Veneto’s nature
The large size tiles from XLIGHT Premium (Urbatek) can be seen in the bathrooms and the bedrooms. Their look imitates Marquina marble, especially in the Savage Dark Nature series, which has been used in several rooms. Its veins recreate Veneto’s purest nature. Marble luxuriance is also present in the Haven collections in Bone Nature or Lush White Nature. White extracted from Carrara.
The Oporto collection by Venis has enhanced the light and the brightness in the rooms through its white wall tiles. An intimate atmosphere in which the Starwood ceramic wood from the Porcelanosa Grupo has also played an important role. Its Minnesota Camel model provides greater warmth and privacy to the different areas of the hotel. As well as that, adhesives and joints by Butech were used for the placement of these materials.
A minimalist line which can also be seen with the Airslate slate by L’Antic Colonial. This is present in the Delhi and Patna tones. A light and versatile material which goes all the way back to those ancient buildings in Northern Italy.
A classic touch which contrasts with the Krion™ mineral compact, whose Ras and Kole series are combined with the wall-hung toilets from the Noken Arquitect series and the Hotels bathroom taps. A legacy of the Venetian School. La Gioia della vita.
