This 2,060 sq. m. building consists of two main parts: gold shop and residential area.

This piece of land in Phatum Thani, a suburb of Bangkok, is large enough to build two separate buildings but the owner decided to build only a four-storey multifunctional building due to security and financial reasons. This building has a gold shop on the ground floor, an office on the first floor, a small manufacturing space on the second floor and a residential area with five bedrooms and leisure space on the third floor.

For Chinese people, who mostly run gold business in Thailand, red color is a symbol of prosperity. Shop decoration usually follows this convention, making red color a characteristic of gold shop. No alienation and not necessary to be re-introduced, this new building maintains the gold shop color code by using red color as means for communication, particularly at the front of the building to let customers know where they are. This building is higher than a typical gold shop but red color gives it a gentle and friendly look for its customers.

Besides mechanical protection system, bar is another tool to protect the building from invaders. Bar is essential for both practical and aesthetic reasons. Stainless steel bars in different sizes cover the entire façade. They respond to a huge glass wall to create pleasing appearance for the building. The shine surface of stainless steel also adds glamorous characteristic to the shop that sells precious metal-gold. Highly experimental, this building perfectly reflects the vision of the second-generation gold shop owner of the Eastern world.
