The Open Church is an urban comunity space, taking apart the single elements of a church-the cross- creating a double bridge system for the main purpose of crossing paths between people, meeting.
The walls, instead of classical brick walls which create an inclosed space, i decided to create self standing glass brick walls, for the reflection, lights and transparency effect.
I took the elements/colors and materials of the St. Miniato church of florence-the origin, and created a new interpretation of it.
