European Central Bank
Frankfurt am Main / Germany
With its polygonal shape, this incredibly striking tower ensemble, which is up to 185 metres tall, is yet another spectacular element in the soaring skyline of Frankfurt am Main. Built between 2010 and 2014 at a cost of around 1.2 billion euros. Both towers – which are connected by an atrium – provide space for approximately 2,300 employees of the European Central Bank, one on 43 floors and the other on 45. The Vienna office of the global avantgarde architecture firm COOP HIMMELB(L)AU chose freeform tiles from Vorwerk flooring for the floor design.
