The IET at Savoy Place is the new beauty in the heart of the city. A palace stood on this site as far back as the 13th century. In 1925, the BBC moved in, and everything was renovated in 2015 at a cost of £30 million. Today, it has two theatres and 18 different event spaces, crowned by a roof terrace with perhaps the most spectacular view of the city. The award-winning architecture firm PRS Architects ultimately wanted nothing less than to deliver London’s most inspiring event location. People say that this has been achieved – among other things, with floor coverings manufactured by Vorwerk flooring.
