The sense of urban, civil and community belonging can e attributed to the shared sense of participation of the city itself. It is therefore important to develop new spaces, actively contributing to the creation and formation of concepts that influence and create the city itself. This is the intent, pursued for years by the Barton group and now fulfilled, of Barton Park.
BARTON PARK, OR LIGHTS ON THE CITY
The project was born within the Barton group, a family of entrepreneurs from Perugia who operate in the field of telecommunications, energy and optometry. In facing the need to move the company headquarters, the desire was to invest in a location of the city to be regenerated and brought back to life. The fulcrum? A large portion of land and an antique villa with an annex in the green area of Pian di Massiano. A park that is primarily a workplace for the group employees and one that can be used freely in parallel by the people of Perugia.
The main categories of the lights installed, also due to the presence of two architectural firms, include aesthetics, technical and regulatory. In the park we find some classic light saving bollards with a minimal design like Ryo and Joe (both in corten) which surround and guide the visitor through the park. An imposing set of steps, reminiscent of Greek amphitheatres, describes the park in a semicircle, illuminated by several Rubber RGB. Lakeside, on the façade of the building and on the underground ramps, Ivil is positioned, ideal for enhancing environments, indicating passages and highlighting peculiar elements. The magnificent greenhouse, profiled in corten, is enhanced by RGB+white LED Strips.
Inside the building, Vos, Gypsum Q, Trix_C30_1 and Beebo_C30 cover the common spaces, the meeting room and the offices. The outside of the buildings is accompanied by Shaker, ideal for creating light shapes that enhance the architecture.
The choice of Navata completes the package, guaranteeing high chromatic yield in illuminating the underground tunnel, where works of art are periodically exhibited.
