Apartment for a young family Merano / Italy / 2018
The refurbishment of a small apartment in a housing block departed from the necessities of a young family of three. The focus was put on a functional organization and the desire for spacial generosity within a relatively reduced area.
From the entrance area a new wall leads to the living space, which faces the garden. Like a protective hand this wall embraces the dining table, the essential place of family life and at the same time opens the space for joint cooking and living. On the rear side of the wall there is the bathroom with integrated storage room, followed by the bedroom with a wall closet.
