Sophie design speakers
Sharp, crystal-clear sound with power and soul – that’s what Sophie brings to the table. Despite their thin profile, these design speakers incorporate everything you’d expect from professional PA monitors.

The Sophie design speakers are 4-way speakers; the high frequency range is carried by a 1” neodymium compression driver and the mid frequency range is carried by two 3” domes whose ferrite magnet cores guarantee a crisp, clear output. Two 10” ferrite cone bass speakers round out the sound experience – one dedicated to mid-to-low frequencies, the other operating in full range mode.

Together with Sophie’s eye-catching looks, this technology gives our design speakers an impressive presence.

Bob subwoofer
Developed by Sound Projects for professional studio applications, the Bob subwoofer is a force to be reckoned with. Its 12” long coil woofer is housed in a case that has been tuned all the way to 30 Hz, enabling it to provide superior power and punch in the low range while our design speakers handle the higher ranges.

Controlling the gain
The electronic Gain Chain delivers reliability due to its use of proven N-max technology, Dual Audiologic Level Control (DALC) and multiple MICRO-AMP units. N-max is a proprietary low-noise gain structure from input XLR to speaker terminals.

The virtual, inaudible gain riding DALC and 24dB/oct filters control the individual 600 W MICRO-AMP from each driver and guards the tonal balance of each of the Sophie design speakers. An additional MICRO-AMP amplifier with its own power supply controls the 12” long coil subwoofer.

N-max effectively prevents excessive speaker excursion, burned coils and amplifier clipping.

Configuration
The DD set consists of two Sophie design speakers and two Bob subwoofers. This dual configuration offers maximum versatility; with two powerful sources providing crisp, full range sound, the design speakers and their subwoofer companions can be set up exactly where you need them, allowing for superior sound quality in a wide range of professional applications.

The standard color for Sophie design speakers is a bold, seductive red – but you can also choose to customize your speakers according to your own tastes. B.A.S. has various options to choose from.
