JUNOST hotel is a legend of the 1960-s period of Soviet architecture. Therefore, it is vital to find the balance between the newly designed complex and the existing building. The old hotel building shall be given
its original looks. The new apartment complex is neatly spaced to avoid any mismatch with the architectural profile of the historical 8th floor of the hotel.

The designed complex is constituted by two wings of unequal height and a stylobate part with an occupied roof housing the internal apartment area. Such solution enables to maximize the number of rented areas
on the ground floor and to arrange rest grounds with plants in the patio. The projecting profile of the higher wing will enlarge the patio area and provide a shelter from precipitation for a café for house residents.
U-shaped planning shall decrease wind at the children’s playground. The height and shape of the designed complex are limited by insolation of the adjacent residential blocks. Location at the edge of the residential block contributes to expressiveness and vividness of the complex.
