The project, commissioned by LARA, brand of lingerie, became an opportunity to think about a very compact store with the minimum requirements to accommodate a starting small business’s selling and administrating operations. 

In favor of future changes in location, the structure works as a scaffold, for its assemblage, and independence while adaptable to other shop units or open spaces like fairs and conventions. The scaffolding like metal structure, results in a flexible space / furniture. It contemplates an easy addition of future secondary racks, while in the basic module delivered; its components are potential hangers to facilitate other types of exhibition designs, with garments as hanging objects.   

The client’s need for a tiny itinerant office, and the most basic program to incorporate in the 5.20m²-previously rented space resonated with Radiohead's lyrics[1] about modern ways: the tester (fitter), the product display (happier), the desks for the seller and the administrator (more productive), and the shelves for sizes (comfortable). To turn the orientation of the modulation and locate the programs on each corner proved useful in the face of the challenge to fit the requirements into the small unit; it also resulted in a dynamic order for the distribution while maximizing the dimensions of the elements used for each program.

In relation to the feel of the space, the gray gradient wall achieves a smooth transition from the dark color of the floor to the predominant white on the top; this effect diffuses the floor line and gives a sense of continuity in the interior space. The dark tone of the floor and lower walls applied to the structural bases to have a camouflage effect of these, and in this way give a floating impression to the overall structure.

The delicacy with which the structure - store, apparently hanging or floating, rests within the shop tries to evoke the intervention of the brand’s lingerie in the female body.
