What does a project start with? It starts with understanding what the client prefers and needs. A young and ambitious couple with two children who like comfort,  equipment capability, and up-to-date design as it is, came to us for an interior design  in the ‘tower’ on Mosfilmovskaya Str., Moscow, Russia.

High ceilings, well poured concrete, panoramic windows were the starting point to create an architectural volume of the quarters.

Dynamic planning, monochromatic colors, concrete ceilings, some splashes of color – all these became the basis for the futuristic interior, over which time will have no power.

The sitting-room is visually integrated with the kitchen, but functionally is divided from it by glass partitions. A black geometric wall in the sitting-room stands in contrast with a white floor made of agglomerate. Mirrors widen the lobby area and hide the entry to the private zone.

The children’s room and bedroom are hidden from the public eye. In the bedroom, the bed and its high bed-head are made according to our design.  Soft Alcantra panels and solid oak on the floor make a great contrast to the brutal concrete.

The white children’s room serves as a great basis to be filled with something bright and colorful. Over the walk-in closet, there is a well-planned playing shelf, and the bed is made according to our design together with Muna Kids Furniture Studio.

Concrete as a material is the link between all rooms of the quarters: the wall in the lobby, in the bedroom, the ceiling in the sitting-room – this win-win variant of “natural” decoration refers to architectural approach to designing, where balance of proportions and materials rules, because it is the brutality and dissimilarity of concrete flatters other materials: smooth glass, soft curtains tissues, delicate leather.
