COS Chicago

Located on Oak Street, the store houses the womenswear, menswear and childrenswear collections across three floors and 5,700 square feet of sales area.
The store opens with COS’ Spring Summer 2018 collection, which explores organic shapes and natural materials while taking inspiration from the past, present and imagined future. The result is a series of simple modern classics, composed in interchangeable modular ways. The influences of time are apparent in the artisanal work methods and reinvented pieces which have a futuristic tone and quiet drama. 

The Oak Street store interior is designed in line with the COS aesthetic of clean and modern lines combined with natural elements. An atmosphere that is both dynamic and calm with a contemporary look, grey tones and subtle materials create a 'blank canvas' as a backdrop to the collection. The store is divided into smaller 'wardrobes' with a railing system that creates areas to display the collection in smaller edits and, as in all other COS stores, there are 'lounge' areas with furniture by designers Eames, Wegner and Finn Juhl. The exterior of the building pays homage to the minimalist architectural history of the city with glass and steel sections
throughout.
