This home is in the Washington Park neighborhood of Seattle on the shores of Lake Washington. The site’s 130 feet of shoreline with its panoramic views of Mt. Rainier and the Cascade Mountains make it one of Seattle’s most desirable sites.
A light-filled gallery with five large skylights organizes the design and connects the homes main rooms. The main living spaces have fifteen-foot tall ceilings with floor to ceiling windows to provide unobstructed views which bring in an abundance of natural light. The overall affect is warm and livable with many carefully crafted details that are supportive of the overall design. The result is minimally modern with a warm pallet of materials.
