The identity of Njuškalo as the biggest on-line marketplace in the region, is extremely strong and recognizable by its primary colours (yellow, black and white) and the mascot, so we translated its brand standards through ambient characteristics into every part of the interior. Great contribution to the character of the interior has given by illustrator B.Matešić, who told the story of Njuškalo through his murals.
The challenge in terms of space planning, was projected growth of the company for 50 employees in three years. The whole process had to work for the existing number of employees (70), and create prerequisites for the increase to 120 employees in 2020. We embraced the challenge defining building parameters that will correspond to the distribution for the 2020 and then we stepped back into 2017, rearranging the furniture.
Employees’ needs and functioning greatly defined the way they consume certain areas, which reflected the type of seating arrangements in interior. As people forme according to different needs, it was necessary to create a modular furniture that could adapt to these changes. One of the examples is circularly formed seating system in the library, which consists of eight identical parts that can be assembled into a closed circle. It could also be arranged into sinusoid or as separate elements, depending on the current needs and the number of people occupying the area.
Offices, which are grouped in 16 different departments, are located along the edges, while 5 common rooms are distributed in the central part.
Complete hallways and common areas are covered with 100% recyclable multilayered decorative floor, which earned the Red Dot Design Award 2016. The selected pattern resembles concrete and fits in with the existing concrete structure that we have kept in its original form. Alongside the exceptional acoustic properties it has exceptional abrasion resistance properties, which is important since dogs are allowed in the premises.


We are very proud to announce that we received a 5 star award for Best office Interior Croatia at the European Property Award 2018/19 ceremony in London, as well as Nominee for Office Interior Europe.
