Villa Şimşek | Yücel Partners

This project is located at the seaside of the Black Sea so we had many regulatory limitations. We have designed several sketches for this project in order to come up with the best design possible. The rectangular land which was initially seen as a disadvantage, was designed and transformed into an advantage in conjunction with the needs and desires of the owner. We tried to design a warm and mesmerizing villa with its dark colored roof, brick and natural wood-covered facade and moving shutters. As the owners used to live in Europe, we also inspired from Northern architecture to meet with their expectations. Our theme for interior design was comfort, simplicity and convenience. For the sake of efficient energy use, on outer walls, we used aerated concrete blocks and heat insulation materials. On east and west terraces, we used sliding sunscreens. With its spacious balconies, stylish garden, eye-catching facade, untraditional roof design, this house actually reflects the warmth and intimacy of its owners
