[ENG] - MORI (‘forest’ in japanese), is a project made of wood and light. More than 1800 suspended ash strips transform the wide dining room in a forest. Some of them hit the floor, replicating the non-regular geometry of the woods. The keys of the project are ‘verticality’ and ‘expansion’.

The dark background of the walls, and the mirrors regularly placed on them, suggest the idea of the infinity, hiding the edges of the inner space. Every element of the project is an abstract interpretation of the Nature’s pattern. The light, caught in the design grid, reflects and multiplies itself through the golden surfaces of the tables and the ceiling’s details.

[ITA] - Mori, letteralmente "foresta" in giapponese, è un progetto fatto di legno e di luce. La grande sala si trasforma in una foresta, con più di 1800 listelli di frassino sospesi che talvolta raggiungono terra, suggerendo l'irregolare andamento degli alberi nel bosco. Verticalità ed estensione sono le dimensioni-cardine del progetto.

Lo sfondo scuro elimina i limiti della scatola muraria, suggerendo l'infinito attraverso il riflesso dorato degli specchi. La regola che astrae la geometria della Natura permea ogni elemento compositivo. La luce, imbrigliata nella maglia, lavora di riflesso moltiplicandosi in un continuo rimando tra le superfici dorate dei tavoli e quelle del soffitto.
