Grateful House | 宣棠設計 Shaun Tang Interior Design

Located in a pristine countryside, the project is a three-story leisure vacationing house built by the owner himself on his own land. The design of the building mass is presented in the form of two simple building materials with exposed concrete as the main body and matched with black granite. The architectural design lines of the building are also simple and the whole building is just like a long box standing on the ground. When you enter the house, you will first see a living room with a double height ceiling of 6 meters. It features a greater area of glass covering large parts of the view field, and the natural light from the glass window makes the space bright and spacious. The TV wall is represented by travertine stones with natural weathered potholes and extends from the floor to the ceiling to create a high ceiling effect. Both sides of the room connect to the external windows, allowing some outdoor light to be introduced into the room moderately. The sofa wall is joined together by two distinct materials, blending into contrasting rusted thin bricks and warm wood materials to bring out the personality of the architectural elevation appearance. The stairs on the side are covered with black iron, and the upward shape of the stairs also constitutes another visual focus. The other end of the single axis of the interior layout is the dining room and kitchen space, which continues the material expression of the exposed concrete and will serve as an important meeting place for the relatives and friends of the homeowner. The external window panels and the unclosed transparent settings give the dining area a more spacious feeling, extending an open outdoor view. The whole house is simple, neat and down to earth, creating a very comfortable living space for the homeowner.
