This never inhabited triplex covers 900m2 and is located nearby the Ibirapuera Park, in São Paulo (Brazil). Its original environments  were fragmented and darkish. The project, signed by the architects of Casa 14 Arquitetura, Mariana Andersen and Mariana Guardani, aimed at integrating the floors and stressing the character of the materials.

The generous openings of the walls offered a visual connection between different environments in each of the three levels of the apartment. The Project also emphasized the relationship between the environment, gardens and circulations. The staircase - a folded steel plate lined with wood on the bottom and white stone on the top - appears as the sculptural element that interlinks the three decks. The vertical structure stands out.

Each floor was designed for a specific use. In this order: live, work and rest. On the first level are the rooms, kitchen and service area. The second was designed to receive a library of 5 thousand titles integrated into a garden where the resident works, reads and writes. The last level brings the leisure area, with a music studio, hot tub, sauna and a barbecue, permeated by a vertical garden in all its extension. 

The furniture sheds light on the Brazilian design. The art pieces, carpets, among others, establish a counterpoint to the absence of ornaments and the straight lines of the residence. 

The main materials - wood, glass, light stone and vegetation - allow a dialogue with the environment and produce a luminous and inspiring atmosphere for the residente, who works as a writer at home.

São Paulo, 2017 – Nunca habitada, a cobertura triplex de 900m² localizada na região do Parque Ibirapuera, em São Paulo, tinha seus ambientes fragmentados e escuros. O partido do projeto, segundo as arquitetas e sócias da Casa14 Arquitetura, Mariana Andersen e Mariana Guardani, foi integrar os pavimentos e apostar na expressividade dos materiais escolhidos.

Os espaços ganharam conexão visual através de generosas aberturas nas paredes dos 3 níveis do apartamento, enfatizando a relação entre os ambiente, jardins e circulações. A escada – uma chapa dobrada em aço revestida por madeira na parte inferior e pedra branca na parte superior – aparece como o elemento escultórico que interliga os três pavimentos enfatizando a relação vertical.

Cada andar foi projetado para um uso específico e nesta ordem: morar, trabalhar e descansar. Assim, o primeiro nível abriga salas, dormitórios, cozinha e área de serviço tendo ao alcance a configuração básica da moradia. O segundo foi elaborado para receber uma biblioteca de 5 mil títulos integrada a um jardim onde o morador trabalha, lê e escreve. O último nível abriga a área de lazer, com um estúdio de música, ofurô, sauna e churrasqueira, permeados por um jardim vertical em toda a sua extensão.

O mobiliário foi exclusivamente pensado no sentido de valorizar os designers brasileiros. As obras de arte, tapetes, entre outros, estabelecem contraponto à ausência de ornamentos e ao desenho em linhas retas da residência. 

Os materiais principais – a madeira, o vidro, a pedra clara e a vegetação – permitem um diálogo com o entorno e diluiu seus limites, além de produzirem uma atmosfera luminosa e inspiradora para o morador que trabalha como escritor em casa.
