6th Street Residence | bldg .collective

The 6th St. Residence is an addition and extensive remodel of a three bedroom residence located in the Newlands neighborhood in North Boulder. The design modernizes the overall spatial organization of the original 1948 house and previous 1993 addition by relocating the vertical circulation, kitchen and living room on the main level. This renovation also includes an addition of a new master suite, dining room, family room, office, front porch and a two-car garage. The overall energy efficiency of the house was improved with a new high-efficiency mechanical system with radiant in-floor heating and improved insulation. Updated, contemporary finishes compliment the open floor plan and light-filled spaces.
