Santa Catarina Corner is a minimalist building renovation located in Porto, Portugal, designed by OODA. In one of the highlands of the city, the project is characterized by the rehabilitation of a vacant building with a large garden in the yard allowing the implementation of a set of nine new apartments with one bedroom each and aimed at the tourist market. The architects retained many of the building’s original elements, including ceiling moldings and archways. The larger spaces are separated by glazed doors to allow natural light to enter the deeper portions of the space.
