The main idea is the return of the pre-revolutionary historical appearance of the printing house (Building 1), designed by architect
Adolf Ernestovich Erichson and built in 1903-1904, with a three-axis pure composition with a portal along the middle axis, attic walls,
giving it a characteristic sharp force, close in style to Art Nouveau using Gothic motifs. Two risalites of stairwells made the volume
more developed when viewed from the courtyard. With the construction of the superstructure, the silo of completion, important in
urban planning, was lost. The ridges of the staircases' risalites distort the three-dimensional composition. Demolition of buildings 5, 6, 8,
one-storey and 3-storey parts of the 1st building, attached in the 50s from the courtyard, parking under a canopy and adjacent onestorey
warehouse buildings at the corner of the 2nd and 3rd Monetchikovsky lane, as well as parking under a canopy adjacent to
building 5, will allow you to get a spacious courtyard area, the remoteness of the buildings from each other, and therefore greater
commercial attractiveness for potential
buyers. The remaining 1,2,3,4, buildings are being reconstructed and adapted to accommodate apartments, apartments and rental
space in them. Along the 2nd Monetchikovsky Lane, the project provides for the construction of a new 7-storey building 6.1, which in
turn will visually fix the angle of intersection of the 2nd Monetchikovsky Lane and the 3rd Monetchikovsky Lane. It is planned to install
a heated underground parking. Two solutions have been developed. The 1st option assumes the placement of parking in two
underground levels, where the entire existing underground part is allocated for parking on the 1st floor, and on the 2nd floor parking
is located between buildings 2,4 and under the new building 6.1. The 2nd option assumes the placement of parking in three levels
located between buildings 2,4 and under the new building 6.1. The parking of the projected complex includes all the necessary
technical and utility rooms.
