West End Avenue Renovation | Sarah Tombaugh
Pre war redefined New York / United States / 2017
Existing pre-war elements such as mahogany doors, lovingly patinaed crystal door knobs, and original herringbone parquet floors were protected through this thoughtful renovation. In contrast the bathroom was completely modernized and stripped of all extraneous detail to present a minimal glowing white box enhanced by polished Thassos marble walls and floors, and Lapis blue Murano glass tapware. Appliances were thoughtfully concealed and integrated finger pulls were incorporated into the drawers and doors to eliminate the need for added hardware.
