Designed for a young and energetic family, the kitchen and loft-like living area is the hub of the home. With an oversized custom concrete slab island a dozen people can easily gather or one person can comfortably enjoy a snack. The coup de grace of this spacious Upper West Side Pre-war apartment is the nearly 50 foot hallway accentuated by a path of recessed lights leading one down the hall with the room entries punctuated by glossy black doors. Black and white elements are thematic throughout the apartment softened by natural material elements like the white-washed 10” wide plank Ash floor, the customized Walnut wall hung vanity in the Master Bath, and the textured concrete Kitchen countertops. Oversized pocket doors serve as discrete room dividers when in use and carefully hidden away when not.
