Max Zhukov and Victor Stefan from To Taste design studio signed the second project for their clients, a couple of travellers who take home many objects from their travels, they asked the designers to integrate these pieces into the project. Two or three years ago the idea of ​​buying a loft was born, inspired by their recent trip to New York.

The apartment is located in a historic area of ​​the city, it initially appeared as a completely anonymous space, but after the complete makeover was transformed into a bright space thanks to many windows, with a total area of ​​170 square meters and a ceiling high 3,5 m. Customers currently live in Moscow, but often come to St. Petersburg and the house is the meeting place for their many friends and relatives, becoming almost a "guest house".

The loft is inspired by the historical buildings of the city, the lamps installed in the living room are thought to remember the dome of St. Isaac. Above the dining table there is a 7-light Fedora suspension, in bronze finish, the typical shape of the Matryoshka is underlined by the structure of the two hanging armchairs. The bedroom dedicated to "Cruiser Aurora" remembers the berths of the ships thanks to the blue colour of the textile accessories, to he ropes and life jackets hanging on the wall.

The other bedroom is inspired by "Vaganovka Ballet Hall", light, delicate and airy. There is a huge mirror and the pendant lamps have the shape of ballet tutu.

The "Circus Ciniselli" bedroom is colourful and charming, with a striped dome on the ceiling and cylinder-themed lampshades.

Finally, what would be the Capital of the North without the "Chamber of Amber", inside the Catherine Palace. The main task here was to recreate the environment without using the amber itself: in fact, shiny copper sheets were installed as wall panels, on which the term amber was engraved in different languages.

I designer Max Zhukov e Victor Stefan di To Taste design studio firmano il secondo progetto per i loro clienti, una coppia di viaggiatori che si porta a casa dai propri viaggi moltissimi oggetti, che hanno chiesto ai designer di integrare all’interno del progetto. Due o tre anni fa nasce l’idea di acquistare un loft, ispirati da un recente viaggio a New York.

L'appartamento si trova in una zona storica della città, inizialmente appariva come un locale completamente anonimo, ma dopo il completo rifacimento si è trasformato in uno spazio  luminoso grazie a moltissime finestre, con una superficie totale di 170 mq ed un soffitto alto 3,5 m. I clienti attualmente vivono a Mosca, ma spesso vengono  a San Pietroburgo e l’abitazione è il luogo di ritrovo con i numerosi amici e parenti, fino a diventare quasi una “guest house”.

Il loft si ispira agli edifici storici di San Pietroburgo, le lampade del soggiorno vogliono ricordare la cupola di Sant’Isacco. Sopra al tavolo da pranzo è stata installata una sospensione Fedora color bronzo nella versione a 7 luci, la forma tipica della Matrioska viene sottolineata dalla struttura delle due poltrone sospese. La camera da letto ispirata alla "Cruiser Aurora" ricorda le cuccette delle navi grazie al colore blu dei complementi tessili, alle corde ed ai salvagente appesi alle pareti.

L'altra camera da letto è ispirata a "Vaganovka Ballet Hall", leggera, delicata e ariosa. C'è un enorme specchio e le sospensioni a forma di tutu da balletto.

La camera da letto "Circus Ciniselli" è colorata e incantevole, con una cupola a strisce sul soffitto e paralumi tematici a cilindro.

Infine cosa sarebbe la Capitale del Nord senza la "Camera d'ambra", all’interno del Palazzo di Caterina. Il compito principale qui era ricreare l’ambiente senza utilizzare l'ambra stessa: sono stati infatti installate dei fogli di rame lucido come pannelli a muro, sui quali è stato inciso il termine ambra in diverse lingue.
