The DOBRA collection is designed with the concept of a continue steel bar folded to create legs and frames for the different components.
"Dobra" is a Portuguese world for fold. The reason is the folded steel flat bar that is present in this entire line.
Folded bars were a lot explored in the industrial modernist furniture design, but in most of the cases in the shape of a tube, a pipe. The Dobra line explores the versatility of a flat steel bar and the beauty of treating it as a visually soft material by the folded details. In the case of this chair, the base is this element in folded steel bar to receive the upholstery parts and cushions.
The main materials are: folded carbon steel flat bars finished with power-coated paint on various colors, upholstery and cushions are finished with velvet, linen or boucle fabrics or, in the case of the tables and media racks there’s the use of various woods finishes.
