Once again, at Fuorisalone 2018, Andrea Castrignano chooses Buzzi & Buzzi for the lighting system of the showroom in Via Adige 11. Roof View, the name of the project - which is located in the Romana Design District - reveals its key features: in fact, the rooftop is surrounded by the breathtaking urban skyline of one of the most charming areas of Milan.

Castrignano unique style can be seen in the attention to the details of the interior project, the selection of refined materials, and the cutting-edge technologies used in the loft. All of this is enhanced by the light of Buzzi & Buzzi.
The project has its roots in the american architecture of the XX century: the roof, in fact, celebrates and interprets the architecture of the time, namely, the art of Frank Lloyd Wright, one of the most discussed and influential architects of that period. The atmosphere is sophisticated and contemporary and it is enriched by an international flavour, given by the beautiful view of the city.

The heart of the rooftop is a block made of cortén - a material which produces a strong visual impact. All around this block, there is the outdoor area, the natural projection of the indoor zone.
The whole cortén structure, which encloses the living spaces, is eco-friendly thanks to its isolating coat, designed to save energy.

In the living room and the kitchen, three totally recessed luminaires have been installed: an indoor hexagonal light, Buzzz; the recessed luminaire Twin Genius, with two tiny light emission holes (20mms wide), which produce an intense light beam. The electronic mechanism can be replaced directly from the light holes, thanks to the PUSH-PULL system. Finally, there is Eggy, an egg-shaped, totally recessed LED luminaire, with a push-pull mechanism that allows to replace the electrical part directly from the light emission holes and to place the LED light without visible screws and springs.

Each one of these lights is made of AirCoral®, the anti-polluting and purifying material patented by Buzzi & Buzzi, ideal for eco-friendly projects, as Roof View.

On the other hand, the bedroom and the bathroom are enhanced by Unleaf, a totally recessed product for indoors, made of AirCoral®. This luminaire looks like a perfect cut in the wall, adding an original glimpse to the architecture. For this area, Buzzi & Buzzi has also used the products of the Genius line: Genius and Genius Brass, both products emits a non-invasive beam, thanks to the light emission hole, which is only 20mms wide, basically invisible when the light is off.

The bathroom is enhanced by Genius Naked, one of the new products of 2018. Another, totally recessed luminaire of the line of “genius” products, entirely made of aluminum, which can be placed on different types of surfaces, such as marble, glass, wood, iron, cement, mirrors or industrial modules. This product perfectly camouflages with the materials used to cover it.
In the shower, Buzzi & Buzzi installed two totally disappearing lights: Genius IP65 and Phantom IP65. These products are particularly resistant to water and tp dust thanks to the IP65 protection scale and its bodies made of Coral WaterOut®.

Buzzi & Buzzi continue to surprise the public in the outdoor area of the rooftop, filled of new products. Underline, an inground, walkable luminaire made of DurCoral® , immediately welcomes the visitors in the entrance of the rooftop. This product produces a clear and defined light beam. The hall is also illuminated by MOND IP65, a device for outdoors, made of DurCoral®, which emits a performing 180° diffused lighting, through a satin glass.

In the outdoor living room, located next to the entrance of the loft, VALO IP65, NUSS IP65 and ALADIN IP65 create a warm and refined atmosphere. VALO IP65 is an inground, outdoor light made of DurCoral®; NUSS IP65 also made of DurCoral®, is installed in the porch and in the area before the bar and; lastly, ALADIN IP65 is a totally recessed luminaire, characterized by a minimal design which perfectly blends in with the environment.

DurCoral® is two times stronger than cement. It resists to abrasions, ultraviolet rays and weather conditions, moreover it can be treated with all types of finishings or paintings.

Inside the bar, Buzzi & Buzzi placed one of its most elegant products: Zen, a scenographic pendant luminaire characterized by a unique design, which creates a game of suspensions and geometries. Zen is a suspended luminaire designed by ASZArchitetti and made of AirCoral.

Once again, Buzzi & Buzzi has shown the incredible quality of its products. Roof View is an harmonìious oxymoron which combines a creative and dynamic design with the elegance of the materials and of the products of the company from Pozzo d’Adda, manufactured with cutting-edge and eco-friendly materials.
