The building, which is located on the northern edge of Wiesbaden, was originally build for a film production company and is now part of the campus „Unter den Eichen“ of RheinMain College. It is also called the „old building“. Over time, studios and workshops were arranged in the building that were necessary for the media-oriented courses. Rooms for classes, that are visited by large groups, were missing uptil now.

Therefore, the widely unexploited two floors of the workshop halls in the middle of the building were supposed to be rebuild for large class rooms. Nevertheless, the use of a large event room should still be possible. To accomplish that goal of a multifunctional use, mobile elements were needed. After the rebuilding, the multifunctional hall is structured in a rearward corridor and two switchable lecture halls. For the use of an event room, the stands can be retracted and the mobile partition wall between the lecture halls can be opened.

The equipment of the lecture halls includes comprehensive media technology, screens and traverses that can be used during classes. Due to the media focus, a bright class room was requested with the atmosphere of a movie theatre. Therefor black parts and surfaces were installed into the new rooms that hide the ventilation system. Also they are a big contrast to the light grey contour of the previous hall.
