L’intervento consiste nella riconversione di un vecchio capannone industriale sito in Triggiano,
nell’area a sud-est della Città metropolitana di Bari. L’edificio appartiene ad un importante
complesso industriale storico ed è stato trasformato in un centro sportivo con nuovi campi da
gioco al coperto (squash, paddle, beach volley e pallavolo), con una reception e i servizi annessi.
Lo spazio è organizzato con i campi posizionati intorno ad una “piazza” centrale, concepita
come un punto di incontro del pubblico, dal quale è possibile guardare le partite e nel quale si
possono organizzare eventi pubblici. Il nuovo blocco che contiene la reception è un volume
bianco che dialoga con il cemento a vista della struttura preesistente.

The project consists of the transformation of an old industrial building located in Triggiano, in the south-eastern part of the Metropolitan Area of Bari. The building belongs to an important industrial heritage complex, now transformed into a sportive center with new indoor playgrounds (squash, paddle, beach volley and volley), reception and services. The space is organized with the playgrounds arranged around a central ‘square’ conceived as a public meeting point from which is possible to see the matches and in which is possible to organize collective events. The new building that contains the reception is a pure white volume that dialogues with the natural concrete of the existing structure.
