Dynastie bar à cocktails | Rodrigo Martins

The project replaces an iconic bar that had been renovated many times and was in decline.
The design was aiming to break away from the existing architecture by adapting to the medieval environment and creating an exceptional experience from the outside in.

The new concept is inspired by English houses of the 18th century reinterpreted in an abstract manner. The bar is themed "house of a collector", several tables and off beat objects bring a friendly atmosphere, personality and comfort.

 In 111 square meters, the project is defined in 3 main atmospheres, a more comfortable space upstairs, the bar and a stage where live acts can take place.

 Pilot of the concept, the choice of surreal objects brings the eccentric spirit of the English collector and his cabinets of curiosities. Dark tones of furniture and walls harmonize objects of

different colors and shapes, some furniture has been found in antique shops and renovated. The paintings reinforce the idea of ​​a dynasty with humor.

 The stair acts as a center piece that connects both floors increasing the quality of the space and reinforces the idea of ​​18th century house. The Swiss office designed the furniture and developed

the lighting project, characterized by light fittings integrated into the wallpaper and applied to all the walls.

 The idea is to captivate the attention and attract the public into a surreal and offbeat space to enjoy a unforgettable cocktail.

Favre et Guth architectes a développé le nouveau concept du bar à cocktails Dynastie, située au cœur de la vieille ville de Genève. L’établissement remplace un bar iconique que avait passé par plusieurs rénovations et était en déchéance. Tout l’espace est reconstruit pour rompre avec l’architecture peu conviviale du bar existant, en s’adaptant à l’environnement médiéval en développent un espace remarquable depuis l’extérieur.

Le nouveau concept s’inspire des maisons anglaises du 18ème siècle avec relecture  abstraite. Le bar est la « maison d’un collectionneur de la royauté des animaux », plusieurs tableaux et objets décalés apporte une atmosphère convivial, de la personnalité et du confort.

 Dans 111 mètres carrés, le projet se défini en 3 ambiances principales, un espace plus confortable à l’étage, le bar et une scène où éventuellement des mis-en-scène et concerts auront lieu.

 Pilote du concept, le choix des objets surréels apporter l’esprit excentrique des collectionneurs anglais et ses cabinets de curiosités. Les tonalités foncées des meubles et murs harmonisent les  objets de différentes couleurs et formes, quelques meubles ont été trouvé dans des antiquaires et rénové. Les tableaux renforcent l’idée de dynastie avec humeur.

 L’intégration des deux étages est établi pour le vide vers l’escalier que augmente la qualité de l’espace et renforce l’idée de maison du 18ème siècle.  Le bureau suisse a dessiné le mobilier et a développé le projet d’éclairages, caractérisé par des luminaires intégrés au papier peint appliqué sur tous les murs.

 L’idée est justement d’attirer le publique dans un espace surréel et décalé pour profiter d’un bon cocktail.
